Roseview Garden is a 2 acre rambling cottage garden consisting of beautiful mature Deciduous,Evergreen,and native trees a fruit orchard and approximately 450 rose bushes with heritage, hybrid, floribundas, climbers, standard and weeping roses, along with beautiful bulbs, colourful annuals, perennials and flowering shrubs, It has drip reticulation fed by 500000 litres of rain water collected on the roofs of the buildings and stored in rain water tanks.
The winter garden has colour with the bulbs starting to flower and the Cootamundra wattles the African tree daisy and the annuals such as primula violets, cineraria's, Lachenaliasand Jonquils and daffodils.
In spring the Tulips and Blossom trees will flower together then later the ranunculi and anemones daisies ,pentstemons will take us through to the late spring flowering of the roses in mid October right through until late May when the Deciduous trees all colour up, the Claret Ash Manchurian Pear and the Liquidambars in their Autumn Colour, The dahlias are dazzling with colour then as well as Chrysanthemums.
There are 2 water features as well as a fountain which attracts abundant bird life to the garden like the little Blue Fairy Wren, silver eyes Willy wagtails, New England honey eaters, wattle birds, Pardalotes and numerous others. Attached to the tea room is a large outdoor covered pergola adorned by scented climbing roses has a slow combustion fireplace and a B.B.Q for use.The garden is also used for Weddings and out door functions.
The port Lincoln Cellar folk use the last Sunday in the month to practise under the pergola and that is free to the public from 2 pm till 4.30pm the tea rooms have morning and afternoon teas available during our opening hours of 10.30 pm until 4.30pm Lunches are strictly by appointment by booking 24 hours prior.
