The Trail includes from North Shields through Port Lincoln, around the Marina and through the National Parks
Escape from the hustle and bustle of modern living to the natural surrounds of the Southern Eyre Peninsula on the Investigator Walking Trail. Take the time to enjoy a walk along the most beautiful, refreshing coastline in the state. This is a long distance coastal trail which takes its name from HMS Investigator, the ship commanded by Matthew Flinders while surveying the rugged coastline of Lower Eyre Peninsula in 1802. The trail is easy to walk, well marked and accommodates people of all fitness levels. So give a Go!

Enjoy the space and tranquility at Mikkira - see the stars clearly at night. Camp or visit for a day and sit by wood fires in Winter - de-stress yourself. 

You can bird-watch, count the koalas, walk in the bushland, see the historic area with the restored homestead 1842. Ride a pushbike, fly a kite or do nothing at all. Just sit and soak it up.

Beautiful 2 acre garden consisting of many decidous trees, evergreen trees and shady gum trees, featuring 600 roses annuals, perennials, bulbs and shrubs. There is abundant birdlife and 3 water features. Emus surround the garden perimeters and the emu oil products are sold in the tea rooms. There is an outdoor pergola attached to the tearooms which offers devonshire teas, cappuchinos and homemade cakes. Lunches by appointment . Coaches by prior arrangement. Opening hours 10am to 4.30pm daily. Closed Christmas day and Good Friday.

THE OLD MILL LOOKOUT

The Old Mill was built as a Flour Mill in 1846 but never commenced operation. 

Now a historic lookout with views of Port Lincoln and Boston Bay.

Within walking distance of the City Centre.

Turn off Flinders highway into Gloucester terrace then left into Dorset Place and you will find the Old Mill.

PARNKALLA WALKING TRAIL

The Parnkalla Walking Trail has some of the most breathtaking coastal views on the Eyre Peninsula. 

Along the trail there are many varieties of plant life, you might even catch a glimpse of wildlife from lizards to bird life. 

The length of the trails approx.14km long and to walk the entire length should take 3-4 hours. 

Parnkalla was the name of an Aboriginal group that lived in this area at the time of settlement. There are many benches along the trail for you to pause, rest and enjoy the scenery.
